When you wake up head toward the town center. Have a coffee in one of the bars. You can check out the best places below.

After coffee you might want to visit the museum at the castle and take a stroll around the castle gardens. You should also visit a few other attractions like the Capuchin bridge, St. Jakob's church, Rotovž house, Homan house, Capuchin library and monastery, and others. Its time for lunch! You have a few very good options to pick from. You can check the restaurants below.

After lunch you may be ready to treat yourself with some ice cream or a cold local beer.

Short walk to the village of Puštal with a photo session by the church of Saint Cross by the old Puštal castle. On your way back you must turn toward the Devil's Bridge. If you have your swimsuit on you, take a swim in the Poljanska Sora river. You can enter the river near the Devil's Bridge on the dam. Just relax & enjoy by the river till the end of the day. Enjoy!

New day; you get up early and have a good breakfast. There is numerous options for activities. If you are in for hiking, you might pick Lubnik or Blegoš mountains. If you decide for Blegoš, you must stop at the Visoko estate in Visoko village in Poljanska valley. If you are not an experienced hiker, you can hire a local guide. If you decide for Lubnik, take it easy and enjoy the nature, you can head towards Lubnik directly out of any hotel door in Škofja Loka. If you are more of a cycling enthusiast, there are also numerous options, as well as many bike and ebike rentals around. You can check a couple of the activities below. Enjoy!

The best option (if you have a car) is to go visit Soriška planina at the starting point of Julian Alps. Start in Škofja Loka and head towards Železniki, where you can stop at the Lace Museum. Then to the the village Sorica. Sorica is arguably one of the most beutiful villages in Slovenia. Enjoy here for a while and visit the house of the Slovene impressionist Ivan Grogar, if you feel like it. You can find more about his work on our website. 15 minutes drive from Sorica you get to Soriška plnina where you have a ton af activities at your service. You can ask for activities in the Lajnar Hotel or Brunarica Lodge. If you still have some time, you can go back to Škofja Loka through the Jelovica forest or down to the Bohinj valley, then through Bled and Kranj, to Škofja Loka. Enjoy!
