(also Selščica) is the left tributary of the river Sora, which merges with Poljanska Sora in Škofja Loka. It originates above the village of Zgornja Sorica just below the road towards Petrovo Brdo, flows through the village towards the south and southeast to the confluence with the Last Sora, and from there mostly towards the east past Zali Log and through Železniki. Below the town, the valley widens and turns to the southeast; in Bukovica the river enters the gorge between Lubnik and Križna gora, flows past Stara Loka, and merges with Poljanska Sora to form river Sora in Škofja Loka.
